Privacy policy

How Mining Stock Analyst handles personal information.

Last updated: 16 October 2026. Mining Stock Analyst operates from New Zealand. This policy covers our website, research accounts and Family Office workspaces.

Information we use

We process your email address and sign-in identity; membership, purchase and credit records; research requests and context you submit; saved reports, notes and scenarios; and team membership, watchlists and milestone activity. Security and service records may include connection details, timestamps, errors and access events.

We receive payment status and transaction references from Stripe. Full payment-card details are entered with the payment provider, not stored in our application database. Google sign-in supplies an account identifier and verified email when you choose that method.

Why we use it

We use this information to authenticate you, deliver purchased access, generate research, operate team features, send requested service notices, prevent abuse and resolve support or payment issues. Where applicable, our legal bases are performing our contract with you, legal obligations and legitimate interests in operating and securing the service. Optional marketing requires the applicable consent or other lawful permission.

Account information is needed for paid access. Research context is optional. Do not submit sensitive personal information, confidential third-party material or information you are not authorised to share.

Research and team visibility

Research requests, supplied context and relevant earlier research may be processed by our AI research provider, OpenAI. Research runs as a resumable provider job so an interrupted browser connection does not require a new paid generation. Provider responses are stored for recovery under OpenAI data-retention controls; received results and amendments are retained in our service records. Checking or locally recalculating saved work does not start another research request. Generated outputs may contain errors. Completed generated reports are automatically published in the shared archive: sections 1–5 are public, and full text is available under paid-access rules. Private team notes, discussions and scenarios are shared with authorised members of that office; authorised platform administrators can access records to operate and support the service. Generated research previews and company coverage are visible to visitors. Private notes and team discussions are not intended for public publication.

The timeline links to original third-party source documents. We do not operate a document repository for those linked files. Opening a source takes you to that publisher, whose privacy policy applies.

Service providers and overseas processing

Providers supporting the service include OpenAI for research and hosting services, Cloudflare for application infrastructure, Stripe for payments, Resend for service emails and Google for optional sign-in and externally loaded fonts. They may process information outside New Zealand. Their roles and applicable terms depend on the service they provide.

We must apply the safeguards required by New Zealand privacy law and, where applicable, international transfer rules before transferring personal information. Contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your data. We do not sell personal account data.

Cookies and browser storage

Essential cookies keep you signed in and protect authentication. Browser session storage can retain your intended destination through sign-in. External checkout, sign-in and source websites may use their own cookies. Blocking essential cookies can prevent account features from working. We do not currently run advertising trackers in the application.

Retention and security

We retain account, entitlement and saved-report records to provide ongoing access, including access to purchased reports after subscription cancellation. Other information is retained only while needed for its purpose or applicable legal, accounting, security and dispute requirements. Deletion requests are reviewed against those requirements; deleting account information may prevent us from verifying report access.

Access controls and secure authentication help protect information, but no online service is risk-free. Where a privacy breach meets a legal notification threshold, we will notify the relevant regulator and affected people as required.

Your rights and complaints

You can request access to or correction of personal information and raise a privacy complaint. Where applicable, you may also request deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing, and withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. We may need proportionate identity verification and will respond within the applicable legal time limits.

Use our support contact with the subject “Privacy request”. You may complain to the New Zealand Privacy Commissioner or your applicable local regulator. Changes to this policy will be dated here; material changes will be communicated where required.
